The evolutionary process might have given we humans sight, but Raymarine adds a new dimension with Augmented Reality for Axiom MFDs. It combines an AR200 gyrostabilization module with CAM210 or CAM220IP marine cameras—up to 10 in all, for 360-degree coverage—plus ClearCruise AR, to label AIS contacts, navaids and waypoints with color-coded callouts. At a glance, the HUD-like display tells you what’s what, and adjustable layers and range controls let you customize the screen for different situations.
