Small boats don’t need multiple zones or uber-complex systems, so why spend big bucks to get features you don’t need? The Clarion CMM-20 offers a smarter answer, with an amp that puts out 25 watts RMS per each of the four channels. There’s an optional second-zone audio, so you can still add a subwoofer or split the sounds, and the unit includes Bluetooth streaming, USB and aux inputs, as well as the AM/FM radio. Unlike many affordable source units, however, the CMM-20 also has a high-contrast thin-film-transistor LCD display and, critically, is built to IP66 weatherproofed specifications.
