Pole-Pole, a company that made its name with shallow-water anchors, has introduced two new lines of bow-mount electric trolling motors—dubbed Move—that feature quiet operation, high efficiency, GPS guidance, wireless controls, virtual anchoring and more.

Move models include the pivot-mount PV series and the scissor-mount ZR series. Both are designed and built for saltwater or freshwater use, and feature brushless electric-propulsion motors engineered to deliver power at significantly lower rpm than other motors. The result is 30 percent more thrust, as well as 30 percent greater efficiency than industry-leading trolling motors, according to Power-Pole.

The motors’ lightweight-yet-strong titanium shaft carries a lifetime guarantee. Moves also offer advanced electronic technology, including built-in GPS navigation with features such as Anchor Mode, which automatically maintains boat position, and Active Vector Heading navigation, which is akin to autopilot for your trolling motor.

Controls include the ReelFeel wireless foot pedal that provides the sensation of cable-steering. The pedal can be placed anywhere aboard. Wireless foot buttons that activate the Anchor Mode and Active Vector Heading also are moveable.

A wireless hybrid remote controls the Move trolling motor and allows boaters to deploy and retract one or both of a vessel’s Power-Pole shallow-water anchors. The remote features a long-lasting rechargeable battery and comes with a dash-mountable charging cradle.

Boaters can also network Move with a compatible Lowrance or Simrad multifunction display, providing touchscreen control. In addition, the underside of the ZR series motor housing features an option for a built-in plug-and-play HDI sonar transducer to display on a Lowrance MFD.

Power-Pole’s ProNav app can enable any mobile device to become a Move controller by unlocking navigational functions like route create, go to a point, cruiser and more. Each new motor comes with one free year of ProNav app support.

Move trolling motors work with 24- and 36-volt battery configurations. The PV series comes with 45-, 52-, 60- or 72-inch shaft lengths, while the ZR motors feature 45-, 52, or 60-inch versions. Both series are available in black or white, and start at $4,999.99.
